Slim but mighty. The White Soterian Slim TS008 Fired Rated FD30 Internal Frame letterplate for composite doors boasts features that not only set it apart from other TS008 letterplates on the market, but beyond TS008. Serrated Stays are what make the Soterian Slim letterplate go beyond TS008. They are foldable to achieve compactness for transit and storage, biased to stay open to aid fitting and serrated to frustrate thumbturn or handle manipulation by strap/cord. The letterplate consists of a minimal internal flap projection of only 14mm from the door surface, giving a less intrusive feel to the door. In fact, the letterplate lies within the straight line from the hinge side of the door to the handle. This unrestricted door opening means the door can open fully without the risk of the letterplate smashing against and causing damage to the interior wall. An innovative pivoting stay mechanism reduces the opening to 39 degrees for protection against key fishing and lock manipulation. Designed for 44mm 70mm composite, timber and uPVC doors, installation is quick and simple - all it takes is eight screws and a hinge rod. TS008: 2015 accredited Document Q and PAS 24:2016 compliant Designed for 44mm 70mm composite, timber and uPVC doors Restricted opening to protect against key fishing and lock manipulation No external fixings Internal flap projection of 14mm Cycle tested to 20,000 cycles Secured by Design and BSI Kitemarked Patent pending What is TS008? The Door & Hardware Federation (DHF) TS008: 2015 sets the advanced security requirements of letterplates. The updated door standard PAS 24:2016 now requires an external door fitted with a letterplate to meet TS008: 2015. In order to meet TS008 test requirements, the letterplate must eliminate the risk of an intruder gaining access to the property by means of physical force, fishing and lock manipulation, whilst also maintaining clear access for postal items.
